Combs Courier

Journalists are always searching just like writers; searching for the most important news that will capture one's attention like a writer searches for plots to entertain. Rachael Loughry, 15, is both; a journalist at the Combs Courier and a fictional writer in her free time.

When she is free, Loughry does volunteer work at the Harmon Elementary School in San Tan Valley as a teacher’s aid. Loughry also likes to read all kinds of books and listen to music; her favorite band is ‘Shinedown.’ She hopes to live in California and become a writer, fictional or journalistic.

Loughry joined the journalism program at Combs High in 2013, and has continued up to the 2015-2016 school year.
