Spring Break Plans for the Procrastinator

Spring Break beigins tomorrow and if you’re stuck trying to figure out what you want to do instead of just being coped up in your room; here’s a few ideas to help you out to give you a spring break with tons of fun memories.

   Go to the movies: Here’s a few movies that you might enjoy that are coming out pretty soon. “The Invisible Man”, the release date for this movie is February 28. “Onward ”,  the release date for this movie is March 6. “A Quiet Place Part II”, the release date for this movie is March 13.

   Go to the Saint Patrick’s Day Fair: On March 14 at the Margaret T. Hance park, there will be a Saint Patrick’s Day faire. Tickets cost $12 and the event will run from 10 AM to 5 PM.    McDowell Mountain Music Festival: On March 6 to March 8 at Margaret T. Hance park, there will be a music festival. If you want to have a 3-day general admission ticket it’s going to cost you $155 plus a $19.00 service fee.If you just want to have a single day admission it’s going to cost you $85.00 plus a $15 fee.    Arizona Grand Resort and Spa: Spring Break is a time about relaxing and not thinking about the stresses of school so what better way to spend break than spending a day at the Arizona Grand Resort and Spa. The address for the resort and spa is 8000 Arizona Grand Pkwy, Phoenix, AZ 85044.    Go watch a hockey game: Arizona might have a reputation for high temperatures, but you can escape the warm weather and catch Coyotes make a run for the playoffs at Gila River Arena in Glendale. Ticket prices range from $20 to around $70, the price depends on which area you decide to sit and watch though!    Go hiking: The weather is nice and cool right now so it’s a good time to go hiking some of the tallest mountains Arizona has to offer. Whether it be the Superstition Mountains, San Tan Mountains, or Camelback mountain, hiking around this time will surely be blast and bringing friends along with you would make it an even better experience. Be sure to bring water though!

   Spring Training Baseball: If you love baseball then Spring Training might just be the event for you. This is when the baseball teams practice before the opening day and it coincides with the week when many U.S. students go off to spring break. Fun fact, Spring Training is only available in Arizona and Florida which makes it a very popular event that many people come to from around the country to see. Our very own Diamondbacks will be going up against the Rangers, Rockies, Padres, Cubs, and Royals. Ticket prices cost around $60. More information about spring training is at https://cactusleague.com.
