Combs Curtain Call takes on the challenge of bringing a popular fairy tale to life. Into The Woods is a well known musical combining a mixture of fairy tales including Cinderella, Rapunzel, Jack the Giant Slayer and the Little Red Riding Hood. Not only does this production include a variety of stories, it also has two different genres: fantasy and reality.
The first half is a fairytale and the second half is reality, as the characters learn and find themselves.
“At the beginning she’s very bubbly and by the end she’s learning how to become a woman” Aurorah Bartz who took on the role of Cinderella said.
The character development really shines through in the end of the second act. The amount of work that has gone into this production is amazing.
“It is going to be really funny no matter what your humor is. It’s a very good blend of a lot of different personalities,” Ava Villegas who plays Rapunzel said, “I feel like no matter what your humor is. If you’re going to find this place funny. Yeah. And it’s gonna be, I feel like it’s gonna be a really enjoyable play.”
The cast fit perfectly, at the end of the day they are what makes this production amazing. Don’t just take my word for it, you can go see it tonight.
