Most students spend their break locked up in their rooms binge watching movies, but this season has so much more potential! Over break there is a variety of activities to keep christmas spirit up and boredom levels down.
Winter break is meant for fun, not sleeping all day, so here’s a few ideas to fill your time.

Bake Christmas treats: pumpkin pie, cinnamon rolls, sugar cookies,gingerbread houses,etc. Just the smell will make it feel like Christmas. Here’s some recipes: bit.ly/xmasbakingtreats

Set up a Secret Santa between friends or family: It’s a good way to get closer with loved ones and you get a gift, and who doesn’t like gifts?

Take advantage of time off school: Go visit family or friends you don’t see often, and if your family visits you make sure to spend time with them.

Walk the Zoo lights: At Phoenix Zoo from November 27th to January 19th until 5:30 to 10:30 nightly. General tickets cost $18.95, but on Value Night they’re only $13.95!

Decorate a tree with family: No Christmas is complete without a beautifully decorated tree, even if it looks like Charlie Browns!

Have a Christmas movie night with friends and family with the classics: Home Alone, Elf, The Santa Clause, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.

Enjoy the cool weather with some outdoor activities: go to Flagstaff, Pinetop, or Tucson all are expecting snowfall this winter and offer multiple activities in the snow!
