The No. 30 ranked Coyotes (0-3) will battle it out on the field against the No. 24 ranked Sentinels of Seton Catholic High School (2-2) in a non-conference game tonight at 7 P.M. at Combs High School.

The Coyotes are still looking for their first win of the season along with the program’s first win against the Sentinels. The varsity team is 0-5 against Seton in the school’s 8 year history.

The Sentinels offense has been doing well this season, averaging 132 passing yards and 206.3 total yards per game. The Coyotes defense must find a way to slow their offense down if they are to come out ahead.

“We just got to get out there and run our defense,” senior Sheldon Pearson said. “Our linebackers have to contain and our defensive line has to be able to fill their responsibilities.”

Watching game film is an important part for the Coyotes as they prepare for upcoming games. It helps them study the team they are playing against. Being able to watch the way the other team runs their defense and their offense helps them visualize their competitors plays. Preparing for tonight’s game has been no different.

“We’ve been watching a lot of film during lunch time,” Pearson said. “We’ve been going over their offense to get used to seeing it when it comes to game night.”
